How To Prepare Tako for Sushi / Sashimi

Octopus is always served boiled, as the flesh is hard to chew when raw. Only the tentacles of the tako are eaten.

Cut one tentacle from the body and boil it in water with a pinch of salt.

Slice the tentacle at an angle, in a wavy motion to produce a textured surface. Each slice should be about 1/10 inch, or 3 mm thick.

Ready to serve!
